How the Referral Program Works

At Four28 Marketing, we appreciate every referral you send our way. This program is designed to reward you for sharing our services with business owners who could benefit from what we do. Below is a simple breakdown of how you get paid for referrals.

How You Earn Rewards
  • Website Projects:
    • $750 for premium website projects
    • $500 for standard website projects
    • $250 for small website projects
  • Marketing Retainers:
    • $500 for the first two months of a qualified marketing retainer ($2,000+/month)
  • Qualified Referrals:
    • $25 for every qualified referral, even if they don’t sign a contract
When & How You Get Paid
  • Referral commissions are paid within 60 days after we receive payment from the referral for services rendered.
  • Payments are sent via mail (typically by check), but we reserve the right to change the payment method at any time.
  • $25 qualified referral bonuses are added up at the end of each month and sent out within 30 days of the following month.
What Counts as a Qualified Referral?

A referral is considered qualified when:

  1. They book a consultation using your referral link.
  2. They are a legitimate business interested in marketing services.
  3. They are a legitimate decision-maker capable of signing a contract with Four28.
  4. They have yearly revenue of at least $500,000 in gross income.
Other Important Notes

• You only receive one payout per referral, based on the highest qualifying service (e.g., if they purchase both a website and marketing, you’ll receive the higher payout, not both).

• Referral commissions do not apply to past or existing clients—the referral must be a new client to Four28 Marketing.

• We reserve the right to deny any referral payout if we determine the referral was fraudulent, misleading, or not a genuine prospect.

Referral Program Terms & Conditions

Eligibility
  1. The Four28 Marketing Referral Program (“Program”) is open to individuals and businesses who refer new clients to Four28 Marketing.
  2. Participants must be a registered member of the referral program and have created an account through Four28’s referral system.
  3. The referral must be submitted using the participant’s unique referral link provided by Four28 Marketing.
Qualified Referrals

A referral qualifies for commission if:

  • The referred client is a new client to Four28 Marketing and has never worked with us before.
  • The referred client books a consultation through the referrer’s unique referral link.
  • Four28 Marketing determines that the referred client is a legitimate business prospect in need of digital marketing services.
  • The referred client signs a contract and makes the required payments for services rendered.
Payment Terms
  • Referral commissions will be paid within 60 days after Four28 Marketing receives payment from the referred client for services rendered.
  • Payments will be made via mail, typically in the form of a check. Four28 Marketing reserves the right to modify the payment method at its discretion.
  • The $25 qualified referral bonus will be accumulated each month and disbursed within 30 days of the following month.

  • Website project commissions:
    • $750 for premium website projects
    • $500 for standard website projects
    • $250 for small website projects

  • Marketing retainer commissions:
    • $500 for the first two months of a qualified marketing retainer ($2,000+/month)
  • Only one commission per referral will be paid, based on the highest qualifying service.
Fraud, Abuse & Disqualification

Four28 Marketing reserves the right to deny, revoke, or adjust referral commissions if:

  • A referral is found to be fraudulent, misleading, or not a legitimate business opportunity.
  • The referrer attempts to manipulate the program for personal gain.
  • The referral is submitted outside of the official Four28 referral system.
  • The referral is an existing or past client of Four28 Marketing.
  • Any participant found violating these terms may be removed from the Program at Four28 Marketing’s sole discretion.
Program Modifications & Termination
  • Four28 Marketing reserves the right to modify, suspend, or terminate this Program at any time without prior notice.
  • If the Program is discontinued, any outstanding commissions owed will still be honored per these Terms & Conditions.
Limitation of Liability
  • Four28 Marketing is not responsible for lost, delayed, or misdirected payments due to incorrect mailing addresses or changes in payment methods.
  • Participation in this Program does not create any partnership, agency, or employment relationship between the referrer and Four28 Marketing.
  • Four28 Marketing is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from participation in the Program.
Tax Reporting & Compliance
  • W-9 Requirement: If a participant earns $600 or more in a calendar year, Four28 Marketing requires the participant to complete and submit IRS Form W-9 before additional payments are processed.
  • 1099-NEC Issuance: If a participant earns $600 or more in a calendar year, Four28 Marketing will issue Form 1099-NEC in accordance with IRS regulations. Participants are responsible for reporting their earnings to the IRS.
  • Tax Responsibility: Participants are solely responsible for paying any applicable federal, state, or local taxes on their earnings from the Program. Four28 Marketing does not withhold taxes on referral payments.
  • Eligibility for Tax Forms:
    • W-9 and 1099-NEC requirements apply to individuals, sole proprietors, and partnerships.
    • Payments made to C-Corporations and S-Corporations are generally not subject to 1099 reporting, unless otherwise required by law.
  • Failure to Provide Tax Information: If a participant fails to provide a completed W-9, Four28 Marketing reserves the right to withhold referral payments until the required documentation is received.
Governing Law & Jurisdiction
  • This Program shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the State of Missouri, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
  • Any disputes arising from this Program shall be resolved exclusively in the courts located in Missouri.
Acceptance of Terms

By participating in the Four28 Marketing Referral Program, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms & Conditions.
